Last night, Will and I saw Tooth Fairy, and it was not the worst thing ever. Seriously, if you have kids and they want to go, you could take them. I’ve definitely seen more terrible children’s fare than that. The Rock is his usual charming self, and Stephen Merchant manages to sneak in a lot of funny. In fact, just seeing those crazy skinny beanpole legs in what amount to long johns with a fly is funny itself.
But listen. Once again, fucking Avatar won the box office last week (also surpassing Titanic as top grosser ever), plus only two new movies were opening wide, so it’s back. But I really want to see When In Rome, you guys! Please go vote for Will Arnett, Kristen Bell, and LOVE.

Those new “one vote a day” rules Will instituted sure are gonna make it hard for you to cheat your way out of “Avatar” this time. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
I don’t cheat. I campaign! There’s a difference.
Democracy in action, Joe. America > Canada 10/10 times.
Except the last three times, when Avatar did not win in the poll?
Annnnnd…Avatar for the win! woohoo!
Sorry, Tara, but – deep down – you had to know that you couldn’t avoid the Juggernaut that is “Avatar” forever. This oughta be good … :)
Dave saw it yesterday and told me what I knew to be true: that I will hate it. sigh.
I saw it right after it came out. I didn’t hate it, just thought it was terribly overrated. Or, as I told someone in the theatre after it ended: “Looks: 10. Dance: 3.” (a deliberate tweaking of the “A Chorus Line” song.) Visuals = Spectacular. Story = Dances with Ferngully.
