Didn’t we all, as a culture, at some point agree on the hours between which it was acceptable to phone people? Weren’t those hours pretty much 9 AM to 10 PM? If so, why doesn’t Avenue Road Roofing know that? It’s not bad enough I have to be awakened at 7:10 AM, with no warning, by the sound of your guys hammering the hell out of my roof — you also have to phone me at 7:20 on the days you’re apparently not even going to be here?
I HATE YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Ouch. Jerks. I’ll take “wake-up call” over “no call” though, after I missed a friend’s wedding one time because the asshole painters coming to my house insisted that it was the only day of that whole month they could come, then didn’t fucking show after I stayed home from the wedding to let them in and show them what needed to be done (I was desparate to move in and wanted to make sure it all got done).
I will say, however, that I’m quite pleased by the addition of a “Rage” category to the blog.
Yeah, they were supposed to show today but nothing. I think I’ve had 3 different project managers on this project so far — including the one that calls at 7:15am to inform me about stuff that could definitely wait until a reasonable hour. The first project manager I was told isn’t working there anymore (over a month ago I believe) is still on the automated mail system menu.
That was weird — 10 minutes later they were on the roof. Let themselves in the backyard and just climbed up and started banging away. It’s okay, you can knock first.
